Ignacio Salazar

CEO

Ignacio Salazar is an international executive with more than 30 years of experience in the natural resources industry. He has lived and worked in various countries in Europe and South America. Ignacio assumed the position of CEO of Highfield in July 2020, after coming from Orosur Mining, a Canadian gold mining company with operations in Colombia, Uruguay and Chile, which is listed in the London and Toronto stock markets, and in which he worked as CEO and CFO for 12 years. Salazar had previously pursued an 18-year international career in oil and gas exploration and production with Royal Dutch Shell, where he led new business development and finance teams in countries such as the UK, Germany, Denmark and Argentina, as well as working in headquarters in London and The Hague. Following his tenure at Shell, in 2008 he joined Orosur Mining, where he was appointed CEO in 2013, until joining Highfield.

Educated at the University of Deusto (Bilbao) where he completed his master’s degrees in Economics and Business and Law, Salazar initially worked in companies such as Hidrola (now Iberdrola) in Madrid, and Management Horizons in London.

Ignacio has extensive experience in the exploration, development, construction and operation of open pit and underground mines, as well as in the development of local relations with communities and governments, and international relations within the industry and in the capital markets from London, Europe and North America, both raising capital and in mergers and acquisitions.

Paul Harris

Independent Non-Executive Chairman, B Comm, M Eng. (Mining) GAICD

As recently announced to the ASX, Mr. Harris will join the Board of Highfield Resources Limited as an independent non-executive Director and Chairman on 25 March 2022. Mr. Harris has over 25 years’ experience in financial markets and investment banking, including roles with Citibank, Bankers Trust and Merrill Lynch advising mining organisations on strategy, mergers and acquisitions, and capital markets. He is well known by the Australian investment community and was also Managing Director – Head of Metals and Mining at Citi for several years.

Most recently Mr. Harris has been working with mining company boards as a non-executive director as well as providing advisory services on strategy and finance. He is currently the non-executive Chairman of ASX-listed Aeon Metals Limited (ASX: AML) and a non-executive Director of ASX listed Aurelia Metals Ltd (ASX:AMI). In the three years immediately prior to the end of the financial year Mr. Harris did not hold any other ASX listed company directorships.

Mr. Harris has a Masters of Engineering (Mining) and a Bachelor of Commerce (Finance) from the University of New South Wales and is a graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.

Pauline Carr

Independent Non Executive Director

Pauline trained as an accountant and is a compliance and governance professional with over 35 years` experience in the Australian and international mining and resources sectors. Pauline has held senior positions in Newmont Asia Pacific and Normandy Mining Limited and also worked for Exxon Mobil. She is an experienced Director and her current roles include being a non-executive Director of ASX listed Australian Rare Earths Limited.

Roger Davey

Independent Non-Executive Director

Roger Davey, a British national, has more than 30 years’ operational experience at senior management and director level in the mining industry in South America, Africa and Europe. His experience at senior management level includes financing, feasibility studies, construction, development, commissioning and operational management of both underground and surface mining operations in gold and base metals.

Previous positions include being the Senior Mining Engineer at NM Rothschild (London) in the Mining and Metals project finance team, where he had responsibility for the assessment of the technical risk associated with current and prospective project loans; Director, Vice-President and General Manager of Minorco (AngloGold) subsidiaries in Argentina (1994 to 1997), where he was responsible for the development of the Cerro Vanguardia, open pit gold-silver mine in Patagonia; Operations Director of Greenwich Resources plc, London (1984 to 1992), with gold interests in Sudan, Egypt and Australia; Production Manager for Blue Circle Industries in Chile (1979 to 1984); and various production roles from graduate trainee to mine manager, in Gold Fields of South Africa (1971 to 1978).

Luke Anderson

Non-executive Director

Mr Anderson has over 25 years of experience in executive management, corporate development, corporate treasury, financial management and financial services roles in major international resource and transport companies across Australia and the United States. He also has extensive experience in business development in the resources sector.

Most recently Mr Anderson was the CEO of One Rail Australia (previously Genesee & Wyoming Australia), the third largest rail freight operator in Australia which owned and operated more than 3,200 km of rail track across Australia. Mr Anderson was also President and CEO of Unimin Corporation, the largest industrial minerals mining company in North America, generating revenues in excess of US$1.3 billion from its 42 operations in the US, Canada and Mexico. Mr Anderson also has a range of project development experiences which include being the CFO of Oz Minerals while it was developing its Carrapateena Project in South Australia.

Katelyn Adams

Company Secretary

Katelyn is a partner of HLB Mann Judd, with over 10 years of accounting and company secretarial experience, servicing predominantly ASX listed companies.

Katelyn has extensive knowledge in company secretarial duties, ASX Listing Rule requirements, IPO and capital raising processes, as well as a strong technical accounting knowledge.

Katelyn is also the Company Secretary of Duxton Water Limited and Duxton Broadacre Farms Limited.

Sixto Jiménez

Advisor

Sixto Jiménez is native to Sangüesa, Spain, with degrees in both Economics and Business Studies. Sixto has extensive experience in executive roles in businesses across Navarra such as Mina S.A, Bildu Lan, Viscofan and IAN. Sixto has also been a member of the Metrovacesa Gecina (France), Lokku (United Kingdom) and Riberebro boards. Sixto has extensive management experience in the USA, Germany, Czech Republic, Peru and Brazil. Sixto was one of the experts convened by the Government of Navarra for the regions long-term planning management “Moderna” and was an advisor for Caja Navarra between 2004 and 2008. He is now an advisor for Argenol SL, Domus SL, M. Torres Diseños Industriales, Dutihl Abogados and is the Chairman of Tuttipasta SA

Javier Aguado

CFO

Javier has over 20 years’ accounting and financial experience. He has worked for the international accounting firm Ernst and Young and for the global Spanish based construction and energy company Acciona where he held different positions as Financial Controller and International affiliates reporting Manager for over 12 years. He joined Highfield in 2018, where he has worked as Financial Manager and gained detailed knowledge of the Company’s financial operations and strategy.

Carles Aleman

In addition to degrees in Business Sciences and Pharmacy, Carles Aleman has a Masters degree in Chemistry as well as an MBA from the ESADE Business School in Barcelona.

During his more than 30 years’ experience he worked in international focused managerial roles in the chemical sector with companies including BASF and CIBA-GEIGY and in Pymag-Curtin where he was Managing Director. Carles has spent the last eight years working at ICL in Spain, where he was the President since 2018. He has been Board member in different companies and in Industrial and Employers Associations.

Javier Olloqui

Head of Human Resources, Foundation & IT

Javier Olloqui has over 20 years´ experience in Human Resources management, with senior roles in companies including Gamesa Eólica, Faurecia, Grupo Mondragón, 3P Biopharmaceuticals and, most recently, Aludium. His experience covers all aspects of human capital development in both local and international environments. Mr Olloqui has a Bachelors Degree in Philosophy, a Masters in Human Resources Management, a MPA from IE Business School and a MBA from the Atlas Research Foundation of Washington.

Susana Bieberach

Head of Public Affaires

Bachelor in Information Sciences (University of Navarre), specialising in Communication. Susana started her career in the field of journalism at The Washington Times and specialised in marketing magazines.

Susana has 20 years of experience in communication and CSR field.  She has been a communications and CSR consultant for more than 300 companies, organisations and associations. She is a member of the Image and Communication Committee of  the national mining association ANEFA and is a member of the Communication Committee of Women In Mining Spain. She was included as a WIM100 Inspirational Women in the Industry in the 2022 edition.

Olivier Vadillo

Head of Marketing & Investor Relations

Olivier Vadillo has a graduate degree in Mathematics from the University of Edinburgh and an MSc from the London School of Economics. With more than 12 years´ professional experience in strategic consultancy. He has worked for companies such as Wood Mackenzie and Deloitte MCS Ltd where he developed business strategies and financial models.

Previously he was the Head of Metals Research for Wood Mackenzie, Sydney. He also has previous experience as a strategic consultant for various mining and energy companies.

He speaks English. French, Polish and Spanish fluently.

Jorge Feito

Head of Mining

Jorge Feito is a Mining Engineer from the Technical University of Madrid, with +25 years of experience in mining, both in the industrial minerals sector and metal mining, and both open pit and underground. At the beginning of his career he was in charge of production shifts at potash mines in Spain, and later continued as a Mining Projects and Operation Engineer for leading companies in the special clays and magnesite sector, developing and optimising feasibility projects for underground and open pit designs.

Before joining Geoalcali, he worked for ten years at First Quantum Minerals’ Las Cruces mine (previously owned by Inmet Mining). There, he led different areas, including Operation and Planning, and Mine Management. During that period, he temporarily relocated to Zambia’s Copper Belt to provide assistance to local staff during the initial production stage at First Quantum Minerals’ Sentinel Mine.

Apart from his experience in mining and team management, Jorge holds a degree in Occupational Safety and Health Management and an MBA, both from the Technical University of Madrid, and a Diploma in Business Studies from the UNED.

Jorge began his professional career in 1997. He specialises in the contracting and management of large industrial and singular projects. His latest projects are the Communications City (Telefónica), the Data Processing Centre of Banco Popular and the New Headquarters of Banco Popular.
